2026 Cervélo S5 Carnelian - Frame Swap Build
이번 빌드는 그간 랩을 통해 모습을 나타낸 다른 S5와 다르게, 새 프레임을 중심에 두고 고객이 아끼던 듀라에이스 9170 Di2 11단 그룹셋을 이식하는 프로젝트였습니다.
시마노 11단과 12단 Di2는 배선 구조가 달라, 요즘의 신형 프레임에는 단순하게 구동계를 옮겨 장착하는 것처럼 배선이 되지 않습니다. 콕핏과 프레임 내부에 Di2 하네스를 재배선하고, 가이드와 그로밋 매칭까지, 새 프레임의 에어로 설계와 일체감을 해치지 않도록 전체 밸런스를 다시 맞췄습니다.
이로써 새 프레임의 퍼포먼스를 온전히 즐길 수 있는 세팅, R9170의 변속과 제동감각을 정돈하고, S5의 고속 안정성과 응답성은 더욱 선명해졌습니다.

This one’s all about the new frame. The client chose the 2026 S5 in Carnelian, and we carried over their Dura-Ace R9170 Di2 (11-speed) groupset.
Because 11- and 12-speed Di2 use different wiring layouts, a modern S5 isn’t a straight bolt-on. We re-routed the Di2 harness through the cockpit and frame, matched the Cervélo OE guides and grommets, cut & bled the brake lines, and dialed torque and alignment so the S5’s aero integration stays seamless.
The result: a setup that lets the new frame perform at its best while preserving the crisp R9170 shift and brake feel. On the road you get the S5’s high-speed stability, clean steering, and quick response—exactly what this platform promises.
